Langtang Valley Trek

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel in the city. Take some time to relax, recover from your journey, and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of Nepal’s capital. Depending on your arrival time, you can explore nearby local markets or simply rest in preparation for the trek ahead.

After breakfast, begin your scenic drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi. The journey takes 7–8 hours, passing through picturesque towns, terraced fields, rivers, and forested hills. You’ll cross the Trishuli River and enjoy glimpses of local villages along the way. Upon arrival in Syabrubesi, settle into your lodge, explore the small village, and prepare for the trek ahead.

Today, begin your trek from Syabrubesi along the Langtang River, passing through dense forests of pine, oak, and rhododendron. The trail gradually ascends, offering scenic views of terraced fields, traditional Tamang villages, and flowing rivers. After 6–7 hours of trekking, you will reach Lama Hotel, a charming village surrounded by lush greenery and stunning mountain vistas. Rest and acclimatize for the next day’s journey deeper into the Langtang Valley.

Today’s trek takes you higher into the Langtang Valley, gradually ascending through lush forests and terraced landscapes. You will pass traditional Tamang villages, prayer wheels, and small streams along the way. The trail offers stunning views of Langtang Lirung and surrounding peaks, giving you a glimpse of the valley’s pristine beauty. After 6–7 hours of trekking, you will reach Mundu, a peaceful village with stone houses and a charming monastery, where you can rest and enjoy the breathtaking mountain scenery.

Today’s trek is shorter but involves a steady climb as you head toward Kyangjin Gompa. The trail passes through rugged terrain, scattered mani walls, and yak grazing areas, offering closer views of the majestic Langtang Lirung. Upon arrival, explore the famous Kyangjin Gompa monastery and the surrounding village, known for its cheese-making tradition. Take time to rest, enjoy the spectacular mountain vistas, and acclimatize for the higher-altitude hikes ahead.

Today is an exciting day as you make a challenging but rewarding hike to Tsergo Ri, one of the best viewpoints in the Langtang region. The trail climbs steeply through rocky paths and scattered boulders, offering panoramic views of Langtang Lirung, Langshisha Himal, and the surrounding snow-capped peaks. After reaching the summit at around 5,000 m, take in the breathtaking scenery and capture memorable photographs. Descend back to Kyangjin Gompa for rest and relaxation, enjoying the tranquil village atmosphere and the spectacular Himalayan backdrop.

Today, you begin your descent from Kyangjin Gompa back toward Lama Hotel. The trek gradually winds down through beautiful forests of pine and rhododendron, passing traditional Tamang villages, streams, and terraced fields. Enjoy the changing scenery as the air becomes warmer and the landscape more lush. After 6–7 hours of walking, arrive at Lama Hotel, where you can rest and reflect on the stunning experiences of the trek so far.

Today’s trek takes you downhill through serene forests, terraced fields, and charming Tamang villages. As you descend, enjoy the fresh mountain air and the scenic views of rivers and surrounding peaks gradually fading into the valley. The trail passes suspension bridges and local farms, offering glimpses of daily life in the Langtang region. After 6–7 hours of walking, you will reach Syabrubesi, where you can relax at your lodge and celebrate completing this part of the journey.

After breakfast, begin your scenic drive back to Kathmandu. The journey takes 7–8 hours along winding mountain roads, passing through rivers, forests, and traditional villages. Enjoy the beautiful countryside and occasional glimpses of distant Himalayan peaks as you descend toward the capital. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, check in to your hotel and take some time to rest. In the evening, you may explore Thamel or relax at the hotel, reflecting on the incredible experiences of the Langtang trek.

On your final day, after breakfast, you will be transferred from your hotel to Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward journey. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have some free time for last-minute shopping or sightseeing in Kathmandu. Say farewell to the Himalayas and the memories of your Langtang adventure as you begin your journey home or to your next destination.
