Langtang and Gosaikunda Trek

15 Days 14 Nights

The Langtang and Gosaikunda Trek is one of the most popular treks in Langtang National Park, located in the northeastern part of central Nepal, near Kathmandu. This trek offers an incredible mix of natural beauty and cultural experiences, including deep gorges, rocky trails, pine forests, yak pastures, traditional Buddhist monasteries, charming villages, terraced hillsides, serene valleys, and breathtaking glaciers flowing from the high mountains. The trek also takes you to the sacred Gosaikunda Lake (4,380 m), an alpine freshwater lake revered in Hindu and Buddhist traditions.

The journey begins with a scenic drive along the Trishuli River, passing through Trishuli Bazaar and Dhunche, before reaching Syabrubesi, a Tamang village by the banks of the Bhote Koshi River. From Syabrubesi, the trek follows the Langtang River up to Lama Hotel, where we spend the night.

On the next day, the trek continues from Lama Hotel to Langtang Village, one of the largest Tamang settlements in the region. From there, we head to Kyangjin Gompa, where we will rest for a day to acclimatize. During this rest day, you can explore the yak cheese factory, hike to the Tserko Ri Viewpoint, or visit the Kyangjin Gompa monastery.
